Castello di Potentino

Our main venue is Castello di Potentino, an ancient castle that dates back to Ertruscan times. Staying at Potentino is like being invited into a private home. Run by the Greene family as an old-fashioned Residenza d’Epoca, Castello di Potentino is comprised of ten bedrooms in the main castle that can accommodate up to 20 people. There are several comfortable sitting-rooms, libraries and kitchen facilities for the exclusive use of guests, and also two apartments available on request that can sleep from 2 to 8 people.

The venue boasts an expansive property which produces olive oil, grappa and award winning wines. Throughout the year, Castello di Potentino hosts classical music concerts, traditional cooking and baking courses and other cultural events.

Colombaio is traditionally built, with outdoor swimming pool, gardens an olive grove and a large terrace overlooking the Tuscan landscape. Tucked away in the countryside, the villa is some five miles from the village of Montenero and ten minutes from the mountain town of Castel Del Piano. Siena is an hour’s drive, and the famous wine town of Montalcino only forty minutes.
